CDC Information
========================================================================
- This year we will prepare for our NAEYC reaccreditation. This is an involved process that involves parents, teachers and administration. We will send information to parents throughout the year explaining our plan of improvement for the classrooms and give parents a chance to give input through surveys and committees. Stay tuned for more info on the reaccreditation process!
- Here is a summary of information about student placement at Oak Grove CDC:
*All currently enrolled children stay enrolled unless they leave the center.
*Children are placed into classes according to many factors: age, development, temperament, gender, and number of children in that age group.
*There is not a set progression from class to class. Children do not automatically go from Infant 1 to Infant 2 to Toddler 1 to Toddler 2, etc.
*Children must be 3 years of age to go upstairs. This is a licensing rule.
*Children must be 4 years old by September 1st to go into our Pre-K classes. *Student placement is a very complex process that requires time and patience. **Please let Nancy Brooks know if you have concerns with your child's placement.**
