After School Program

Our After School Program will be OPEN full days on August 2 - 4. These days are included in August tuition. Please bring a lunch each day for your child. We are CLOSED on Thurs Aug 5 and Friday Aug 6th. School begins on Monday, August 9th.

Our After School Program (After School CDC)  serves children ages 4 - 8 years old. The program is located in the Child Development Center on the second floor. We currently provide transportation from the following elementary schools: Briarlake, Coralwood, Hawthorne, Henderson Mill, and Oak Grove. We will not pick up at Sagamore Hills this year.
Nancy Brooks is helping coordinate the Younger After School Program for children ages 4-8 years.

Our Older Kids' Club is for children ages 8-11 years and is directed by Lynnda Levitt. (Please see our "After School Club" page for more information.)The Kids' ClubHouse number is 404-315-1135.

*Summer Camp is for children ages 5-11 years (those who have completed PreK through 5th grade.)

Our buses pick up the children from the elementary schools at dismissal
(2:30 pm) and bring them back to our center. Older children will unload at the playground to get out their energy from a hard day's work. Younger children go inside, have snack, and begin socializing and fun activities. Most classes have quiet time designated to work on homework or other assignments. Children may read or do other quiet activities during this time if they don't have homework.

Each classroom provides opportunities for free choice, developmentally appropriate activities. Children may choose from various centers designed to stimulate and challenge their minds. Centers may include Manipulatives, Puzzles, Arts and Crafts, Dramatic Play, Sensory Activities, and Blocks. Activities are usually rotated throughout the year to maintain childrens' interest levels.

Special activities are provided for an additional charge: Ballet/Tap and Hip Hop classes are offered on Thursdays, and Computer classes are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Registration forms and information sheets are available on the Parent Information Table located downstairs in the main hallway.* We now offer Soccer on Monday afternoons.

After School CDC Program 
Tuition is currently $400 per month.  

This includes any Teacher Work Days, Early Release Days, and most School Holidays at no extra cost. On these days we ask that you bring lunch for your child. Our hours are from 7:15 am to 6:00 pm. You may bring your child at any time during these hours on full days. We do not offer a Part Time After School Program, nor do we deduct for vacations or absences.
* If Dekalb County Schools closes for severe weather reasons, we will most likely close also.*
